Alicia Telford, French Horn

Alicia Telford is a well-known
free-lance musician and instructor of Horn in the San Francisco Bay
Area. She is a California native and an alumnus of the San Francisco
Conservatory of Music and San Francisco State University.
She is a member of the faculty at San Francisco State University and Los Medanos College. Recent performing credits include being a member of the orchestra during the five year run of the musical "Phantom of the Opera" in San Francisco, performing with the national tour of the musical "Les Miserables" and performing with the 2000 Women's Philharmonic Brazilian tour. |
Over the last 12 years, Alicia has performed in many of the Broadway musicals in San Francisco at the Curran, Golden Gate and Orpheum theaters and with top name stars including Luciano Pavarotti, Rod Stewart, Yo Yo Ma, Leonard Bernstein, Michael Tilson Thomas, Henry Mancini, and Linda Ronstadt. She is a member of the Oakland East Bay Symphony and a regular extra with the San Francisco Symphony and Opera Orchestras, as well as performing with many of the regional orchestras in the Bay Area.
Her greatest enjoyment comes from playing and coaching chamber music, which she does regularly with the Golden Gate Brass, the Fog City Winds, the Humboldt Brass Workshop in Arcata, CA, and with McChamberMusic groups Bellavente Wind Quintet and Women's Philharmonic Woodwind Quintet.
